Frontier Animal Society
Société animale frontalière/Frontier Animal Society (SAFAS) is a non-profit animal rescue located in the eastern townships of Quebec. Founded in 1986 by Joyce Dekker, our shelter provides a safe and caring environment for our adoptable dogs and cats while they await their forever homes. At any one time the shelter is home to approximately 12 dogs and 25 cats and all animals remain in our care until they are adopted.
SAFAS is run by a Board of Directors, and we rely on the support of volunteers to assist us in our day-to-day operations.
As a registered charity, we depend entirely on donations.
For updates on our adopted animals please visit our Facebook page.
Until further notice, we will not be holding our weekly Cat Adoption Open House. To meet our adoptable cats, please take and appointment by calling Linda at 819.868.2684
Our shelter is a non-profit organization and we run entirely on donations. Donations of $20.00 or more are tax deductible. Please give generously.
Frontier Animal Society is a shelter and most of the animals that come into our care will remain here with us until they are adopted. Why then are we looking for foster homes? To find out more about our foster program, please click on this link
